Call for Artists - Stilettos on Parade

Time to unleash your inner artist! We are looking for people to decorate high heel shoes for our art show on June 18th. Prizes and a trophy given to the People's Choice Award and the Gal's at 12th Street Shoes Favorite Award.

This year we will be auctioning off the art pieces and donating all the money to the Womencare Shelter in Bellingham. All of the artwork will be put on display during the Fairhaven Solstice Walk a-bout on June 18th.

Stop by the store to pick up your shoe to decorate for the show.

Girls Night Out Soiree

We had such a blast last night! Good times had by all! The sun came out and made the night just perfect. So many women out in the district - it was awesome! The night started off with a Bra Parade down Harris - this IS an event for Breast Cancer. The parade was triple the size it was last year. The first video is of the parade.




The festivities culminated at the Fairhaven Pub. It started with a tango demonstration, then a little music from Tom Sandbloom - he was awesome. My hubby then emceed the Fashion Show. HE is such a sport. He even wore is pink cummerbund and tie. You have to watch the video below and wait for Fairhaven Bike & Ski to come out - they were very entertaining! My favorite of the night.

We aren't the best video people so no jokes. We tried!



I didn't video the bachelor auction, but I should have. Cute boys out there! Shannon was great as the emcee for this. Perfect choice! The evening ended with an "I will survive" dance by Ariel. This I can't describe you just have to watch it.



I sure hope we raised a lot of money for St. Joseph's Cancer Center last night. I will let you know as soon as we have the final talley. Can't wait until next year!

Girls Night Out in Fairhaven

Big things happening this Thursday in Fairhaven! It is the 5th annual Girls Night Out. It is going to be a great night - so much to do! We will be spinning the prize wheel for some very fun PINK prizes. We are also raffling off a pair of Pink Simple shoes. They are on display at the store if you want to take a look ahead of time. Hope to see you all there!

Join Fairhaven's Red Carpet Gala! This is the 5th annual GNO event that benefits the St. Joseph Cancer Center. Visit the 40 participating shops, diners, salons, Galleries and wellness sites in Fairhaven . Pick up a Passport for $10.00 at Southside Trends, 12th Street shoes, Blessings, Katies Cupcakes and Bead Bazaar starting April 15th til the night of the event. Passport includes 10 raffle tickets and admission to The Fairhaven Pub for the fashion show, Bachelor auction, female comedians and more. Dress in your Red Carpet finest gown and you may be picked to join the fashion show and win a trophy & prize.

Willows Shoe Fashion Show

Had a great time tonight at the Willows Retirement Center. They were having a Girls Night In, focusing on their feet. They made foot soaks and then we did a little Shoe Fashion Show. The models were all residents of the center (except for Erin, who coordinates events). We showcased lower heeled shoes - all comfortable. The favorite of the night was the pair of purple Haflinger sandals.

Jennifer & I had a fun chatting with the models before the show started. They told us how "back in their day" their shoes had to match their dress. And of course, you then had to have a handbag in the same color. They also said that girls learned how to walk properly in their heels, not how some clod-hop today. It was very entertaining.

I am so glad the Willows invited us to come out tonight. It was a lot of fun!

Earth Day Fun!

We had a great time with everyone on Saturday for our Earth Shoes Trunk Show. Our rep, Joan, was on hand to answer questions and help fit folks into the Earth shoes. Krista made some amazing brown sugar shortbread cookies. They were even in the shape of little earths. They were quite tasty - I tried to hold off but they finally got the better of me. Yum!


We got to see all the fabulous shoes in the Earth catalog plus, Joan brought a sneak preview of Fall. Some really cute stuff - especially the boots. Earth has outdone themselves for Fall with this great boots!
